Let’s rewind a bit. My trading journey didn’t just start—it’s been brewing for years. Back in university, I discovered crypto. The moment I learned about blockchain, it was love at first sight—fascinating, complex, and completely out of reach. I spent hours watching videos trying to crack the code. 🤓
But here’s the thing: I was in Bangladesh, where the stock market feels like stepping into a storm without an umbrella—wild, unpredictable, and definitely not beginner-friendly. Oh, and the biggest hurdle? I didn’t have money. Dreaming about investments with an empty wallet is like planning a wedding when you can’t even afford the cake. 🎂
After university, I got a job. Yay? Not really. Long hours, no extra pay, and a schedule so packed I barely had time to breathe. So, big plans? Parked them in the “maybe later” folder.
Fast forward to today—I’ve hit a phase in life where confusion and curiosity rule my days. I thought, “Why not give this a shot? If I fail, at least it’ll be a well-calculated failure!” I set aside $500 I’m ready to lose (bye-bye, $500 😅) and decided to dive in.
Getting started wasn’t rocket science. I downloaded a broker app, entered some details (name, DOB, SSN, bank info), and BOOM—I was an investor (well, sort of—don’t start calling me Warren Buffett yet). 🚀
In my next post, I’ll share how I’m splitting my $500, the companies I’m stalking like an ex on Instagram, and my not-so-genius rookie strategies. Trust me, it’s going to be a mix of excitement and chaos. Stay tuned for the ride! 🎢
